Jesus is Light. One is by answering with particularities of things he has done that I didn't know he was going to do. He invites himself to the homes of those who do not invite him. The Gospels were written for the early church, and the Gospel writers would certainly not go out of their way to make the apostles — the leaders of the early church, after all — look bad.
